1857 N-4 R1 Small Date. MS-62. Lustrous medium steel brown and chocolate with 10% of the original mint red remaining on the obverse, 20% on the reverse. Would rate a slightly higher grade except for a small splash of very shallow carbon on the leaves under CA in AMERICA. Otherwise this cent is choice. M-LDS, die state b.
