1857 N-2 R1 Small Date. PCGS graded MS-63 Red. Frosty mint red fading to light steel brown on the highpoints, 70% of the original color remaining. No carbon spots, only some tiny specks of darker toning sprinkled about both sides, mostly between stars 1 & 2 and the neck and under CE in CENT. A thin nick on the rim over star 4 is the only contact mark. Well struck, although there is some of the usual weakness on the coronet tip. E-MDS, die state a. EAC grade consistent with the slab grade and tied for CC#6. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
