1797 Misplaced 1 above 1. Struck over TAL Cent. . C-1, R2. Fine-12. Glossy dark steel brown and chocolate. Virtually flawless in every respect. The surfaces are smooth and show trivial marks visible only with the aid of a strong glass. Undertype from the cut-down Talbot Allum & Lee Cent planchet shows clearly at ICA. Nicely struck EDS, Manley state 1.0. The date and legends are complete and clear, including the misplaced 1 above the normal 1 in the date.
