Lot 1401

1894-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64 Prooflike. Well struck and mostly white with prooflike fields. The reverse, like the obverse, on most 1894-S dollars has outstanding detail; that is what is observed here, razor-sharpness throughout. Moreover, the coin is fully brilliant with nice two-tone almost cameo characteristics. A sharply struck near-Gem is always difficult to find, and one that has near-immaculate fields doubly so. This prominent coin among S-mint Morgan silver dollars of the 1890s should attract many active bidders. Pop 28; 2 finer in 65 (PCGS # 7233) .
Estimated Value $3,200 - 3,400.
