1851-O Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. AU-50. One of the key dates to this popular series, the 1851-O has a mintage of 88,000, few of which approach a decent grade, most falling in the grade range of Good or so. The fields do show some minor hairlines, probably as much from circulation as from any cleaning or mishandling. As a collector, you would do extremely well to purchase this rare date and put it away, focusing on these rare ones first, the common ones will always be available--and common--as long as you collect the series.
