Lot 1867
1844-O $5 Liberty. Sharpness of AU-50. Well struck, with those thin stars of this date detailed to their centers. Mellow yellow color. Small hairlines and two edge "cuts" on the reverse which, in fact, on close examination, are most probably minting flaws, little edge laminations rather than damage. Bid accordingly, but this is not a bad coin at all.
