Lot 2403

1868-S $10 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-53. Some scattered marks, one on her jaw. Lightly toned. The San Francisco Mint struck 13,500 eagles in 1868. Of that number, perhaps the entire mintage entered circulation. Worn, marked-up pieces are the usual result (when they are available, which is not often). A higher end AU53 is definitely worth consideration. Pop 10; 12 finer; 10 in 55; 2 in 58. (PCGS # 8654) .
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,500.

Realized $3,450
