Lot 1482

1919-D Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-63. As usual, a trifle soft in the centers as made. A very choice, spinning-fresh MS63 example in which the surfaces spread light with smooth satin-like originality over both sides. This is a generally well-produced example with good details. It has no bothersome abrasions or points of wear but as is often the case, the dies left their partly rigid impression behind with some mild weakness or imprecision only at the hand and upper leg of Liberty, transferring over to the central region on the reverse where the eagle's leg lacks some feather detail. Again, the lustrous surfaces are quite clean for the grade. Lightly toned. Pop 42, 77 finer (PCGS # 6578) .
Estimated Value $15,000 - 17,000.
