Lot 929

Fancy Match Cases in Silver & Gold. U.S.A., Orient, and Elsewhere, 19th - early 20th century. Another quality group, some in sterling, and one marked in 14 kt gold (inscribed, dated, 1885). Several with florals, while three in brass or gilt brass with Japanese motifs. One, perhaps Japanese, looks like string-wrapped parcel. Also, an amusing American scent bottle in the form of large bag of grain with a scoop. Additionally, 2 small vessels, Japanese or Chinese. Material generally well preserved, but inspection suggested. Cases may have imperfections; the lids may sometimes show slight dents. Heights: 2-1/8" - 4". Lot of 10 items.
Estimated Value $400 - 500.
Irving Goodman, Personal Collection.
