Hughes, Howard ((1905-76) American aviator, industrialist, movie producer, and eccentric billionaire. Coat Check Ticket from The Baker, a Dallas, Texas hotel that was imploded the the 1980s, signed on the back, n.d. Fine; the perforated line that is normally torn to give half to the patron passes between the "e" and "s" in "Hughes." The Baker in Dallas was one of several hotels owned by hotel magnate T.B. Baker. His hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas, known for its "healing" waters, was visited by names such as Judy Garland, Clark Gable and the Three Stooges.
