(U.S. Supreme Court) Felix Frankfurter (1882-1965) Served as Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court from 1939-62. Although politically liberal, Frankfurter was a strong advocate of judicial restraint; he was also an outspoken opponent of racial segregation. A beautiful, oversize Bachrach photograph Inscribed and Signed, "For Herbert and Maggie Swope - friends - with the affection of Felix Frankfurter," 14½x10¼", 1939. Matte-board mount. Very fine; a couple of tiny dings at left edge. Signed and dated in pencil by Bachrach at lower right;.
