Machado, Somoza, and Castillo - Dictators of Nicaragua, Cuba, and Guatemala. Three Inscribed and Signed Photographs: Anastasio Somoza García (1896-1956), of Nicaragua, signed "Somoza", 10x8", n.p., n.d. Gerardo Machado (1871-1939), signed as President over embossed seal, 10 Sept. 1925; glue residue in margins from previous framing. Carlos Castillo Armas (1914-57), signed as President, Guatemala, 18 July 1956. Somoza and Castillo were assassinated; Machado was overthrown in 1933 (with U.S. aid) and succeeded by two other dictators, Batista and Castro.
