1801 Draped Bust Cent. . S-224, R-1. EF-40 Plus. Sharpness AU50 with hints of extremely faint roughness under frosty dark steel and olive brown toning. A few microscopic pitmarks at D-S are visible only with the aid of a glass. The only sign of contact is a tiny hairline scratch on the top of the L in LIBERTY. Lustrous and very attractive in spite of the relatively dark toning. Early die state, Breen state I. Tied for CC#5.
