1787 Fugio Cent. Pointed rays, no cinquefoils, "UNITED STATES". . Newman 18-H.1 Rarity-6. Good-5. Glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth surfaces that are free of any hint of corrosion or verdigris, mostly just well worn. A small rim bruise under the U in BUSINESS and a shall dig in the ring over the second S in STATES are the notable marks. Very late die state with very strong swelling covering the obverse and a well developed die crack up through the I in MIND to the base of the sundial. The date and legends are mostly visible, and those parts not visible were consumed by the swelling.
