Lot 3273

1902 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. Blazing white gem. Only 777 proofs struck. Or, to switch metaphors entirely, it has almost Arctic ice-cold white color that covers the fields and overlays the devices of this handsome coin, with the devices themselves ever so lightly frosted by the dies, the surrounding field smooth as a high-mountain lake at first light of morning. The lightly rippling mirror surface is all the more astounding on a coin in this exceptional condition. If you look for high-end silver dollar with the persistence that nothing can check, you'll see at once why this 1902 is a "must have" proposition. Pop 34; 13 finer; 1 in 66 Star; 7 in 67; 4 in 68; 1 in 68 Star. (PCGS # 7337) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000.

Realized $6,325
