1901 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. Nice untoned proof coin. Only 813 proofs struck. The snowy white color is especially revealing on this very scarce 1901 Proof, among the most difficult dates to find in Proof 66 quality (most are scrubbed or hairlined from years of mishandling). This is the point at which the auction breaks out into active bidding, no doubt about that. So if you feel obstinate about acquiring only the choicest, most attractive example with everything fresh and in all the right places (strike, swirling luster, eye-appeal, and the like), then go with it and forever enjoy your success.
