Lot 2884

1879-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Popular key date. A lovely coin. An ever-popular CC-mint issue, the present example is certainly well cared for and meets the exacting standards for the assigned grade. Richly frosted, as are many high quality Morgan dollars from the Carson City Mint, this is a forthright example of a semi-key date. The lightest blush of toning is seen on both sides, and the luster is bright, bold, careening throughout and with a desirable clear mintmark. Minimally abraded, and an important survivor from an original mintage of just 756,000 coins. Pop 623; 66 finer. (PCGS # 7086) .
Estimated Value $8,500 - 9,000.
