1909-D $5 Indian. NGC graded MS-63. Bright and untoned. The unusual design is termed "recessed relief" by the mint establishment, these aren't "incuse" in the true sense of that word, but instead have normal "relief" design elements. It is just that the entire raised portion of the design is sunk below the field of the coin.
