1882-CC $5 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-50. A very rare Carson City five that is prohibitively rare above Extremely Fine. This is one of the finer pieces known, in mint state only very few coins have been certified by both major services. Furthermore, the coin is a well struck example that is similar in appearance to the other CC tens in this sale in that it appears completely original, and shows distinctive light of "antique gold" patina on the devices. 82,817 minted.
