1849 $1 Gold Liberty. Open wreath. NGC graded MS-65. Needle sharp and delicately toned. The deeply struck, matte-like surfaces are draped in soft reddish-golden patina and show minimal abrasions. Further, a very nice, sharp impression was left by the recoil of the dies that struck this lovely 1849 Type 1 gold dollar. 21.588 coins minted. Pop 16; 4 finer in 66.
