1870 Quarter Dollar Octagonal. Liberty Head. . BG-758. Rarity 8. PCGS graded AU-58. Lightly toned. Very rare coin, possibly caused when the die broke early (notice the large die break from the rim through the 4th star and on across the portrait. The Robert B. Gray initial "G" is set high in the field, slightly overlapping the bottom of the hair curl. Uses the same obverse as BG-757; no berries, and AR leans right on the reverse. Extensive die breaks on the reverse as well with typical uneven strike. Pop 1; 1 finer 63. (PCGS # 10585) .
