Bar Kochba Revolt, 132-135 AD. AR Sela-Tetradrachm (14.92 g), Year 2, struck 133/134 AD. . Hen-688. Facade of Temple, Ark within; Hebrew at sides, cross above. Reverse: Lulav, with etrog to left; Hebrew around ("Year two of the freedom of Israel"). Hendin 688 (same dies); Mild. 14 (23 examples cited). Well centered on smallish flan. Superb metal, faintly toned, with much residual luster. Undertype a Syrian tetradrachm with eagle reverse and uncertain emperor obverse. A very handsome coin. Choice Extremely Fine.
