Thracian Kingdom. Koson, c. mid-1st century BC. Gold Stater (8.44 g). Roman consul left, accompanied by two lictors; BR monogram at left. Reverse: Eagle holding wreath left. RPC I 1701; BMC p. 208, 2; BMCRR II p. 474, 48. Strike overall crisp, showing only a bit of minor doubling on lower obverse. Coin as struck, and lustrous. Small old scrape above wreath on reverse. About Uncirculated.
