Lot 1832

1929-S Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65 Full Head. Light golden brown to steel toning. Excellent detail from a strong strike, the surfaces show sharp silver color below the original toning. Need we remind bidders that a weak impression was left by the rebound of the (often dilapidated) dies that usually struck this series; however, in the present case, the opposite is true, the head on shows outstanding detail and a clear, bold strike as do other areas of the design including all the rivets in the shield (PCGS # 5777) .
Estimated Value $550 - 600.

Realized $748
