1872 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65 Cameo. Well struck and white. An desirable array of rich luster highlights supports bright mirror reflection in the fields on either side. Nicely struck, as you might expect, with sharp stars and Liberty along with equally crisp eagle, shield, and all legends. Only a few faint hairlines in the fields. Dates from the 1870s tend to be much scarcer than those from the 1880s. Only 950 proofs issued. Pop 6; 13 finer.
