Lot 1681

1858 Liberty Seated Half Dime. PCGS graded MS-67. Superb! Well struck with light clash mark as made. Creamy-white surfaces darkening slightly around the borders. A satiny gem, superb in every square millimeter of its fabric. The graceful underlying luster supports pale gold, warm amber, and faint rose iridescence. A pleasing example of the date, boldly struck at HALF DIME and the lower wreath (the smudging on the photograph is caused by blurriness on the plastic slab and isn't on the coin) and therefore with exactly the right detail in the head, shield, and other area of the design that the coin is utterly pristine! Pop 11; 1 finer in 68. (PCGS # 4367) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.
