Lot 1674

1800 Draped Bust Half Dime. PCGS graded VF-20 V-1, LM-1. No problems. Light antique greyish violet. This is the first year of issue for the new half dime with a heraldic eagle reverse design. Naturally toned in "old silver" hues, with weak areas due to an uneven strike. A small rim pinch is present at the 12th star. On Valentine-1, there is a perfect LIBERTY with the upper inside point of star 1 close to the small middle curl. Seldom seen with perfect dies. All four digits in the date are equally spaced on this variety, and the first star is low in the field (PCGS # 4264) .
Estimated Value $1,100 - 1,200.
The Victor Kramer Collection.

Realized $1,898
