Lot 967

1852-C $2.50 Liberty. NGC graded MS-60. Well struck and a hint of light toning. Another handsome Mint State example of this low mintage rarity. Even the finest, most delicate detail seen on this coin struck with uncommon exactness for the issue; were it only possibly for all the design to be as sharp as the lettering and Liberty's hair areas. Any softness seems to occur at the stars at top, as well as on the shield and the eagle's legs. Pop 3; 5 in 61; 2 in 62. (PCGS # 7764) .
Estimated Value $13,000 - 15,000.

Realized $13,800
