1849-D $2.50 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-55. Well struck with nice golden toning. Devices were struck with the primary energy to impart the design to the outer areas and, we are pleased to say, with sufficient oomph and power by the dies to impart clear-cut centers! This is not a well-known trait of D-mint early gold, and therefore should widen this handsome coin's price parameters. Pop 17; 9 in 58; 1 in 60; 3 in 61. (PCGS # 7754) .
