Lot 592

1925-S. PCGS graded MS-64 PQ. Adequately struck with nice original toning. A lock-solid frosty surface with strong primary luster and rich toned highlights on both sides. More than adequately struck for the date, perhaps 75% so, since this issue rarely is, but certainly a coin that gets points design is concerned. There is a series of crosshatch marks on the hair at, above, and around the braid, which may be the result of insufficient metal flowing into the die rather than handling received after it went into the bank bag. This scarce coin never circulated. Pop 211; 15 in 65; 1 in 66. (PCGS # 3956) .
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,500.
