Fr. 1382 1866 Fractional Currency Shield. Grey Background. Contains 39 Specimen notes of the first three issues of Postage and Fractional Currency including the Grant and Sherman essays. This is a re-constructed Fractional Currency Shield as the grey background shield has been cut-out and re-mounted into a period style wooden frame. Fair to Good condition with some repaired tears. Overall attractive and suitable to hang on the wall.
