1795 Flowing Hair Dollar. 3 leaves beneath each wing. NGC graded AU-50. Lightly toned on both sides with outstanding eye appeal and natural, untampered surface preservation. Liberty's head is nicely centered within the circle of stars, with date and LIBERTY also properly balanced. Pop 2; 2 in 55 as best for the variety.
Three leaves under each wing of eagle. 13 berries, seven on left branch, six on right. Two berries under first T in STATES, one on inside and one on outside of wreath. Die State I has three leaves visible below first S of STATES (early state of die, probably with 4th leaf depression in die filled with foreign matter).
Die State III: It is believed that 300 to 500 specimens of 1795 BB-25, Die State III, exist, most of which are in lower grades through VF. Thus, 1795 BB-25 is one of the more readily available issues of the year. The variety becomes rare in AU and better preservation.
