1908-S $20 St. Gaudens. With motto. PCGS graded AU-58. Faint evidence of friction. A low mintage issue: only 22,000 pieces struck. This reduced mintage, the lowest at San Francisco in the entire double eagle series, explains the great demand for it and relative paucity of supply even of more worn specimens (PCGS # 9149) .
