Lot 1364

1907. High relief, Roman numerals, wire rim. NGC graded AU-58. The slight amount of wear on the high points is only revealed in a trace of friction at Liberty's knee and on her upper blouse, as well as along the curve of the eagle's wing. Elsewhere, one finds, as one would expect to find, full swirling luster with its satin texture and smooth beauty. The devices are in sharp relief on the 1907 MCMVII issue, hence its notation as a High Relief Type. The effort and care taken to strike these is seen on all specimens known and is amply displayed here!
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.
