Lot 1008

1903 $2.50 Liberty. PCGS graded Proof 64. Lovely light toning. This is one of the charming "all brilliant" Proof strikes from the early turn of the century period with strong underlying mirrors and attractive toning in the fields and on the devices. Like other Proofs of its vintage, it was struck with just outstanding detail on both sides, even the stars provide a rewarding experience when studied under a magnifying glass. It is as if this coin is coyly saying to you "Look, I can't wait much longer. If you don't bring your bid to the Goldbergs soon, the whole thing's off!" Pop 34; 22 in 65; 5 in 66; 1 in 67. Only 197 minted in proof. (PCGS # 7929) .
Estimated Value $5,500 - 6,000.

Realized $6,613
