1878-CC $5 Liberty. NGC graded EF-40. This key date Carson City mint half eagle is a most pleasant specimen with honest even wear from circulation, a true artifact of the Old West. The strike is quite acceptable and the surfaces exhibit somewhat less than the normal amount of contact marks. Very low mintage of only 9,054. Population of 5 with 16 finer. Only one mint state coin has been graded by NGC.
