Lot 863
1843-C $5 Liberty. NGC graded AU-53. This specimen has a nice look to it, likely enhanced as it is the variety with broad rims. The strike is quite acceptable, though not completely full on the reverse. From the original mintage of just over 44,000, there cannot be very many in this high grade. Excellent eye appeal. Pop 12, with 36 finer.
