1844 $2.50 Liberty. Sharpness of AU-55. Honey color gold with attractive light reddish toning. We note some scratches in the left obverse field. A rare and very elusive date in any condition and prohibitively rare at AU. Only 6,784 were minted and all were used (PCGS # 7734) .
