Lot 3211

Great Britain. Shilling, 1905. S.3982; ESC-1414 (Rarity-2); KM-800. Edward VII. The rarest shilling of Edward VII and possibly the most elusive of all the coins of Edward VII in top grade. Often plagued by cuts and 'bagmarks' this coin has smooth problem-free surfaces and original luster, with a light golden tone. Extremely rare in mint state condition. Several of this date have sold privately in the UK recently for over $5,000 but we are placing a conservative extimate on this desirable rarity. NGC graded MS-63.
Estimated Value $2,600 - 3,000.
The Cheshire Collection.

Realized $3,565
