Lot 3075

Great Britain. Penny, 1871. S.3954; KM-749.2. Victoria. Obverse stain, otherwise slight luster traces. One of the key dates of the Victoria bronze penny series. It is difficult to find in any high grade, and the increasing popularity of the British penny as a collected item has led to the virtual disappearance of good quality 1871 pennies. Not in a slab because called "stained" but desirable nonetheless as a rarity. Certainly worth EF price (£350). About Uncirculated.
Estimated Value $650 - 800.
The Cheshire Collection.
