Rare 1856 Flying Eagle Cent. NGC Proof 40. Center dot visible on the reverse thus identifying this as a proof. A most pleasing and desirable example for this grade. Struck as a proof thus quite sharp, this coin must have slipped into circulation for a while and quickly rescued, as the surfaces are quite clean and free from noticeable abrasions, nicks and scratches.
