1854-O $3 Gold. NGC graded VG-8. A key date Three Dollar gold issue and the only example of this denomination ever struck by the New Orleans Mint. While the detail on this piece is not really something to write home about, almost all lettering and device detail is discernible. Attractive for what it is, this heavily circulated 1854-O will allow the collector of modest means to acquire this key date gold issue.
