Lot 2000

1893-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-63 PQ. A white and lustrous example of this scarce Carson City issue. Only 677,000 silver dollars were produced this year bearing the "CC" mintmark and the 1893-CC is considered a "key" date from Carson City. Typically found with strike weakness in the hair above the ear and on the eagle's breast feathers but we point out that this specimen has strong strike detail above the ear and only minimal weakness on the reverse breast feathers. Gem examples are virtually unknown and this choice example is sure to receive fierce bidding. Housed in an old PCGS green label, fat letter holder. PCGS population of 674 in MS-63, 323 in MS-64 and only 7 in MS-65 (PCGS # 7222) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000.
The Michael M. Magdic Collection.

Realized $9,200
