Lot 1353

1921 Alabama Half Dollar, no 2 x 2. PCGS graded MS-66. A frosty and delicate superb gem! Raised die lines are visible on the obverse. A few faint hairlines on the foreheads of Bibb and Kilby are the only obverse marks to mention. The reverse displays some central strike weakness but has excellent luster. Two dark spots are present, one under the eagle's wing and one just right of the L. One of the finest known to exist and tied with only 56 others at PCGS. A finer example has never been graded by PCGS. Housed in an old PCGS green label holder (PCGS # 9224) .
Estimated Value $3,200 - 3,400.

Realized $3,450
