Lot 1287

1887 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Deeply mirrored fields are pure white except for some light champagne toning nestled around the stars on both obverse and reverse. Original mint frost and satiny, lustrous fields are just a few of the fantastic qualities of this piece. On the reverse, we do note some light hairlines in the fields but they are shallow and obviously from one quick wipe. A near-cameo coin with a high level of eye appeal. Only 5,710 business strikes were issued and this issue is quite scarce in the near-gem condition. PCGS population of 24 in MS-64 with 35 finer. Housed in an old PCGS green label holder (PCGS # 6369) .
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,100.
The Michael M. Magdic Collection.

Realized $1,668
