Lind, Jenny (1821-1887) Operatic singer known as the "Swedish Nightingale." Two Autogaph Letters Signed ("Jenny Lind Goldschmidt") in English, on embossed "Wimbledon Park" stationery, June 2 and June 30, 1865, total of 12 pages, octavo. With original postmarked, stamped envelopes. Both letters are to Mrs. Farrar, a patron, discussing her voice, an English ladies' school, and personal matters. Backed by the influence and the advertising acumen of P.T. Barnum, Jenny Lind made a tumultuously successful visit to America in 1850.
