Camacho, Manuel Avila (1940-1946) President of Mexico from 1940 to 1946; during his administration, Mexico changed from an agrarian to an industrial society. Partly-printed Document Signed as President, Mexico, June 25, 1943, 18 x 11 inches. Appointing Octavio Vejar Vázguez as Brigadier General. A lovely vignette at the top shows an eagle perched on a cactus and devouring a snake, a sign from tribal prophecy that told the Aztecs to found their capital at Tenochtitlan, on an island in Lake Texoco. The seal is nice and clean, there are three official stamps, and a photo of the general is attached. Very attractive. Archivally matted to 24 x 17 inches. A rare signature.
Estimated Value $400 - 600.

Realized $575
