"1789" Mott token. Plain edge, thick planchet. PCGS graded MS-60. Dark chocolate brown, glossy surfaces. Struck from a very late state of the dies with the detail weak and the surfaces show evidence of die rust. Peripheral lettering is sharp and discernible. Another example of the thick planchet variety that was struck in weight matching that of the large cents. PCGS Pop is 2 with 20 finer (PCGS # 603) .
