Lot 1073

Morgan Dollar. 1886-O. PCGS graded MS-63. A pleasant example of this sought after date. Above average luster with light toning over the obverse fields and a darker champagne toning on the reverse. A bold strike except for a tiny bit of weakness over ear and eagle's breast. While the mintage was 10,710,000 for this year at New Orleans, the survival rate is low in the choice uncirculated grade range. Gems are exceedingly rare! PCGS reports 350 in MS63, 141 in MS64 and only 3 examples grade MS65 as the finest (PCGS # 7168) .
Estimated Value $2,400 - 2,700.

Realized $3,220
