1860s Tobacco Tin. Salmon yellow smoking tobacco tin, c. 1860s, from "Warnick & Brown / Superior Spanish Mixed / Smoking Tobacco / Manufactured at No. 84 Genesee St., Utica, New York." Tin is 7½ in. long by 5¼ in. wide by 4 in.l high, made in a lunch-pail design with double handles and removable tin top. Both long sides have an illustration of a large wooden tub of tobacco, with a "Cuban" standing on one side holding a chicken, and an "Americano" on the other side carrying a long rifle. Some overall rust spots, but presents quite well for its age. A handsome addition to the Tobacconist collector.
Estimated Value $300 - 350.
